Overview
Experience the magic of sunrise from the top of an active volcano! Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking is one of Bali's most iconic adventures, offering breathtaking views, volcanic landscapes, and the unforgettable experience of watching the sun emerge from behind Mount Agung while you stand above the clouds.
Your adventure begins in the pre-dawn hours when we pick you up from your hotel (1:30-2:30 AM depending on location). Don't worry about the early start—it's absolutely worth it! During the 2-hour drive to the base of Mount Batur in Kintamani, you can rest in the comfortable vehicle while anticipating the adventure ahead.
Upon arrival at the trekking starting point around 4:00 AM, you'll meet your experienced local trekking guide who knows every inch of the mountain. After a brief safety talk and equipment check, you'll begin the ascent using provided flashlights to light your way through the darkness. The initial trail winds through volcanic rock and sparse vegetation as you gradually climb higher.
The trek typically takes 1.5-2 hours depending on your pace and fitness level. Your guide will set a comfortable rhythm with regular breaks to catch your breath and drink water. As you climb higher, the temperature drops and the air becomes crisp—this is why we recommend bringing warm layers. Despite the darkness, the trail is well-established and safe with your experienced guide leading the way.
As you approach the summit (1,717 meters above sea level), you'll notice the sky beginning to lighten. Reach the top with time to spare before sunrise, allowing you to find the perfect viewing spot among the volcanic rocks. As you wait, your guide will prepare a simple but delicious breakfast using the volcanic steam vents—watching eggs and bananas cook using natural geothermal heat is an experience in itself!
Then comes the magical moment: the sun slowly emerges from behind Mount Agung, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange, pink, and gold. Clouds often settle below the summit, creating a surreal sea of white that stretches to the horizon. Lake Batur shimmers below, Mount Agung stands majestically across the valley, and Mount Rinjani on Lombok Island may be visible in the distance. The 360-degree panoramic views are absolutely breathtaking—this is why thousands of travelers make this trek each year.
Spend about an hour at the summit, enjoying your volcanic-cooked breakfast, taking photos, and soaking in the incredible atmosphere. Your guide will share information about the volcano's history, including its eruptions and the formation of the crater.
The descent takes about 1.5 hours, following a different route that offers new perspectives of the volcanic landscape. In daylight, you'll better appreciate the black lava fields, volcanic rocks, and the crater's features. Some routes include a walk around the crater rim for additional views.
After completing the trek, you'll have the option to stop at a local coffee plantation to learn about Bali's famous Luwak coffee and sample various teas and coffees (optional, not included). You'll return to your hotel around 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, tired but exhilarated, with memories and photos that will last a lifetime.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.

I am 6 feet tall and 220 lbs. This shirt fit me perfectly in the chest and shoulders. My only complaint is that it is so long! I like to wear polo shirts untucked. This shirt goes completely past my rear end. If I wore it with ordinary shorts, you probably wouldnt be able to see the shorts at all – completely hidden by the shirt. It needs to be 4 to 5 inches shorter in terms of length to suit me. I have many RL polo shirts, and this one is by far the longest. I dont understand why.

The shirt was not the fabric I believed it to be. It says Classic Fit but was made like the older versions, not the soft cotton like my others. I don’t understand how the labels are the same but a completely different shirt. Oh well, stuck with it now.
